KE and RA Staff resources
While the resources listed below are specific to Knowledge Enterprise and Research Administration staff, these staff members are encouraged to first review the faculty tab to familiarize themselves with resources available to all ASU employees in the research space.
Knowledge Enterprise (KE) staff
Knowledge Enterprise drives discovery and innovation at Arizona State University. KE teams support research endeavors across ASU and the globe, providing a range of services and expertise to our ASU research community.
KE staff have access to the KE Employee Handbook and additional team-specific training material in the internal KEEP space. Additional sites and training may be required depending on KE departments or roles.

Soft skills for staff, faculty, and student workers
These short on-demand courses are available for you to review at a time and place that works best for you. Access is provided through Workday.
- Emotional Intelligence Basics – Emotional intelligence means being aware of your feelings and how they shape your actions, so you can respond and make decisions thoughtfully, not just react. Access the on-demand course. A curated LinkedIn Learning playlist is available as an optional additional resource.
- Applying Agile Principles for Non-Software Developers – When you apply Agile principles, you’re able to produce frequent releases of functional, usable products. This material focuses on the basics of Agile principles and methods, and understanding iterative planning.
Research Advancement (RA) staff
RA staff have specialized resources in Getting Your Start as an RA, which introduces the essentials of research administration at ASU and applies to any unit administrator or staff member responsible for assisting ASU researchers (investigators) with identifying funding opportunities, proposal development, and/or management of sponsored project funds.
- Research Advancement – Common work instructions, help tools, and system assistance.
- Research Administration training toolbox – Resources for KE, Research Operations staff, and RAs. Partner with your supervisor to ensure access to all necessary training materials for your role.
