ASU Staff Council: Professional Development and Empower Hour
The Professional Development and Empower Hour Program is responsible for promoting organizational and professional development opportunities to foster the growth and development of our staff by enhancing staff expertise and competencies.
Supervisor and Student Employee Development
Professional development resources for both supervisors and students at ASU, helping to integrate practical experience with positive impact. Help increase the career readiness of our working learners and enrich the relationships between working learners and their supervisors.
- Supervisor resources – Become Work+ Supervisor Foundations certified to learn best practices that can be customized to fit the needs of your working learners, and find resources for common supervisor activities, such as creating a working learner role, interviewing and hiring, onboarding working learners, supervising, and other professional development, and more!

ASU Library
The ASU Library offers a wide array of tools, services, and spaces designed to support academic and professional goals. The ASU Library provides free access to books (including e-books), articles, videos, web and audio resources, course resources, dissertations, reports, and more.
ASU Library One Search enables you to find books available in the ASU Library, link to journals online, and discover scholarly articles.

- The ASU Project Management (PM) Network is a volunteer-run staff and faculty organization where project managers and those interested in project management (PM) at ASU can connect, communicate, and grow.

Use LinkedIn Learning to develop soft skills (such as communication strategies, time management, and leadership) or hard skills (including technology tools like Office 365 and Adobe products).
ASU provides free LinkedIn Learning accounts for all faculty, staff, and student workers. Access job-related training and ongoing professional development opportunities offered by ASU and LinkedIn Learning through Workday Learning.
Students who are not student workers may be able to access LinkedIn Learning with a public library card.
Monthly focus calendars
Make learning part of your daily routine with LinkedIn Learning’s monthly focus calendars.
These bite-sized LinkedIn Learning videos (most under five minutes) deliver quick tips, insights, and learning opportunities that you can use right away. These are perfect for busy schedules when you want to build new skills without disrupting your workflow.
